You think that drives them batty, you should see the look on their faces in the morning when you oll 2 or 3 bikes out of the room in the morning. If I am hotelling on a bike, I get a bottom floor room, or I take my business elsewhere. The bike, be it "baby bike", a Harley, even a beat to death, leaky, grungy old clunker that I'd have to pay someone to steal, the bike is going in the room at night. If need be, I'll turn the bed and other furnishings on their sides and sleep on the floor. As long as the bike is safe, my creature comforts come second.
